Oven, Hotplate & Rangehood Installation

Replacing an oven, cooktop or rangehood? Daly & Co Electrical connects and installs kitchen appliances for homeowners, renovators and kitchen fitters across Armadale, Kelmscott, Roleystone and Perth’s south-east, making sure the circuit can safely handle the new appliance.

Kitchen appliance installation

  • Wall ovens and freestanding upright cookers
  • Electric and induction cooktops
  • Rangehoods, including ducted and recirculating models
  • Disconnecting and removing old appliances
  • New dedicated circuits for ovens and cooktops
  • Upgrading cable and circuit breakers to suit larger appliances

Why induction cooktops need checking first

Induction cooktops often draw more power than the electric cooktop they replace. Before installation we check that the existing cable, circuit breaker and switchboard are rated for the new appliance. If not, we’ll upgrade the circuit so it’s safe and compliant.

Hardwired appliances need a licensed electrician

Most ovens and cooktops are hardwired rather than plugged in, which means only a licensed electrician can connect them. Connecting them yourself can void the manufacturer’s warranty and create a fire or shock risk.

Renovating your kitchen?

We work alongside kitchen installers and builders, roughing in the power before cabinets go in and returning to fit off appliances, lighting and power points. See our renovation electrical services for more.

Servicing homes near you

We install ovens, cooktops and rangehoods in Armadale, Kelmscott, Mount Nasura, Gosnells, Canning Vale and nearby suburbs.

Frequently asked questions

Can I plug in my new oven myself?

Only if it has a standard plug. Most wall ovens and cooktops are hardwired and must be connected by a licensed electrician.

Will my switchboard handle an induction cooktop?

Often yes, but older boards may need an upgrade. We’ll check before installation and let you know if a switchboard upgrade is needed.

Do you remove the old appliance?

Yes. We can safely disconnect and remove the old unit as part of the job.

All our electrical work is carried out by a licensed electrical contractor (EC 15388) and comes with a 3 year warranty.
