Damaged leads and faulty appliances are a common cause of workplace electrical accidents. Daly & Co Electrical provides testing and tagging of portable electrical equipment for businesses, schools, tradies and property managers across Armadale, Gosnells, Canning Vale and Perth’s south-east.
What is test and tag?
Test and tag is the inspection and electrical testing of portable appliances, extension leads and power boards, followed by a tag showing the test date and when the item is next due. It’s carried out in line with Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.
What we test
- Power tools, chargers and extension leads
- Office equipment, kettles, fridges and microwaves
- Power boards and portable RCDs
- Site and workshop equipment
- Equipment in rental and strata common areas
How often is testing needed?
Testing intervals depend on the environment. Construction sites and hostile environments need frequent testing, often every three months, while lower-risk environments such as offices can go longer between tests. We’ll recommend a schedule that suits your workplace.
