Electrical Installations for New Homes and Extensions

Building a new home, adding an extension or converting a garage? Daly & Co Electrical handles the complete electrical installation, from planning and rough-in to fit-off and final testing, for owner-builders, builders and homeowners across Armadale, Kelmscott, Roleystone and Perth’s south-east.

What we handle

  • Electrical planning and a clear, itemised quote
  • Consumer mains and new switchboards
  • Rough-in of cabling before plaster and cabinets
  • Power points, lighting, fans and data points
  • Hardwired, interconnected smoke alarms
  • Fit-off, testing and an Electrical Safety Certificate
  • Liaising with your builder and other trades

Plan your electrics early

It’s far easier and cheaper to get power points, lighting and data in the right places before the walls are lined. We’ll walk through your plans with you, suggest extras that are easy to add now (such as outdoor power, an EV charger circuit or USB outlets) and give you a fixed quote.

Extensions and granny flats

When you extend, your existing switchboard needs to handle the extra load. We’ll check it and recommend a switchboard upgrade or sub-board where needed, and make sure new circuits are RCD protected.

Built to standard

All new work is installed to the Australian Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000) and the Building Code, including RCD protection on every circuit and interconnected smoke alarms where required.

Servicing homes near you

We work on new homes and extensions in Byford, Harrisdale, Hilbert, Forrestdale, Darling Downs and right across the south-east.

Frequently asked questions

When should I book an electrician for a new build?

As early as possible, ideally at the planning stage, so cabling can go in at rough-in before plastering.

Can you work with my builder?

Yes. We regularly coordinate with builders, cabinet makers and other trades to keep the job on schedule.

Do you issue a certificate when the job is done?

Yes. Every completed installation is tested and comes with an Electrical Safety Certificate.

All our electrical work is carried out by a licensed electrical contractor (EC 15388) and comes with a 3 year warranty.
